PLATELET RICH PLASMA

Platelet Rich Plasma is the name of the cosmetic procedure that uses injections of Platelet plasma extracted from your own blood as a skin rejuvenation therapy. It stimulates collagen production and new cell growth, improving your complexion and skin texture.
Because the plasma that is injected into your skin comes from your own body, there’s no chance of having any allergic reaction to it, making it one of the safest skin rejuvenation procedures out there.
APPLICATION
Depending on the extension of the area to treat, the specialist will extract a certain amount of blood from you, around 10ml to 30ml. Then we spin the blood in a centrifuge to separate blood cell from the platelet plasma. After that, the platelet plasma is injected in the desired areas to stimulate collagen and skin cell production.
Most patients need a total of three sessions, one every six weeks. As each body is different, there isn’t an estimated time for the results, a collagen can take up to three months to occur.
RECOVERY TIME
As fluids are injected into your skin, swelling and bruising are expected after the procedure. Most patients feel some level of redness or heat during the first hours, but it should go away in no time.
