BODY SURGICAL PROCEDURES
BREAST LIFT WITH IMPLANT
A breast lift or mastopexy is a more extensive surgical procedure than a breast augmentation. In some cases, it is indicated that a breast lift surgery and a breast augmentation surgery could be performed at the same time in order to obtain the desired result of a cosmetic breast lift.
However, it is possible to perform a breast lift procedure without the use of implants. The surgery usually lasts two to three hours, depending on the variants of the procedure.

The main factor that determines whether or not you need a breast lift surgery or a breast augmentation surgery has a lot to do with the position of the nipple and the general looseness of the breast tissue.
The best choice for you!
Plastic surgeons will determine if you need breast lift surgery, breast augmentation surgery or a combination of both.
If you have lost a lot of weight, or have had a pregnancy, a recent delivery, or both, you may have a certain amount of loose skin that makes your breasts look flabby. If this is your case, a breast lift surgery will help to reshape and tighten the skin, creating a more youthful appearance of your breasts
How is it done?
Since you and your doctor agreed on all the details and decided to continue with the breast lift surgery, the procedure will be as follows:
The breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to improve the contour and firmness of the breasts
The nipple and areola move to a more youthful position.
If you have very large areolas, and if you wish, they can be reduced to a better size.
The skin of the superfluous breast is removed to improve the elasticity of the breast. The last step of breast lift surgery is the closure of the incision.
Massages after breast lift
Massages are important after mastopexy or breast lift surgery. The cosmetic surgeon will determine when is the right time for you to start them. Because of the rare possibility of the incision opening, they prefer to wait until the incisions are completely healed from the breast lift surgery before beginning the massage.
RECOVERY AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Dressings and bandages will be applied to the incisions after your breast lift surgery is complete. You will need to use an elastic bandage or bra to minimize swelling and support your breasts while they are healing.
After breast lift surgery, you may experience discomfort, swelling and bruising, which usually last two to three weeks. Analgesics will make you feel more comfortable during the first weeks of recovery from breast lift.
Most women like to rest a full week before returning to work. Avoid raising your arms above your shoulders or lifting heavy objects for some time after breast lift surgery.
